Timmy Melvin Cook

Mr. Timmy Melvin Cook, 63, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his home. He was born August 19, 1960 in Lancaster, a son of the late George Allen Cook and Willie Mae Brasington Cook. Mr. Cook was a Decon Tech with Bartlett Holding at the Catawba Nuclear Station. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Cook was skilled as a builder and he enjoyed all types of woodworking. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Waxhaw, NC.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cook will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Al Brigman officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Debbie C. Cook of Lancaster; a daughter, Anita Burns and her husband Christopher of Clover; two brothers, Jimmy Cook and Ricky Cook and his wife Glenda all of Lancaster; a sister, Angie Smith and her husband Richard of Lancaster; a grandchild, Willow Burns; four nephews, Matthew, Marvin, Zac, and Max; three nieces, Michaella, Megan, and Ally; and two fur babies, Gracie and Tiny.In addition to his parents, Mr. Cook is preceded by a son, Steven Auten; two brothers, Walter Dale Cook and George Kenny Cook; and a sister-in-law, Tara Cook.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 2:50 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Cook.Read Obituary
